CrashProof (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the CrashProof mobile application.

Information We Collect

Short answer: We don’t collect any personal information.

CrashProof is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on our servers.

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

All information you create in CrashProof is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad, including:

  • Accident case details (titles, dates, notes)
  • Photos you capture or add to cases
  • Voice recordings
  • Checklist items and their completion status
  • Emergency contact numbers you configure
  • Passcode (stored securely in iOS Keychain if you enable passcode protection)

This data remains on your device and is never transmitted to Beckin.com or any third party unless you explicitly choose to share it using the app’s export features.

iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable iCloud sync in the app, your accident case data will be stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit service. This data is:

  • Encrypted during transmission
  • Stored in your personal iCloud storage (not accessible to us)
  • Subject to Apple’s iCloud Privacy Policy
  • Only synced across your own devices signed into the same iCloud account

We have no access to your iCloud data.

Photos Library Access (Optional)

If you choose to save photos to your Camera Roll (enabled in Settings), the app will request “Add Photos Only” permission. This permission allows the app to save photos to your Photos library, but does not grant access to read or view your existing photos.

You can disable this feature at any time in the app’s Settings.

Camera and Microphone Access

CrashProof requests access to your device’s camera to take accident photos and your microphone to record voice notes. These permissions are used only when you explicitly use these features within the app. No photos or recordings are shared with us or any third party.

Location Services

CrashProof does not request or use your device’s location services.

Analytics and Tracking

CrashProof does not include any analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We do not collect usage data, crash reports, or any other analytics information.

Important Note: If you visit our website at beckin.com, standard website analytics (Google Analytics) may collect anonymous usage information as described in our Website Privacy Policy. This is separate from the CrashProof app and does not apply to app usage.

How We Use Information

We don’t use your information because we don’t collect it. All data processing happens locally on your device.

Information Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transmit any of your information to third parties because we do not collect any information.

When you use the app’s export features (PDF or Evidence ZIP), you control where and with whom you share that exported data.

Data Security

All app data is stored on your device using iOS’s built-in security features:

  • Passcodes are stored securely in iOS Keychain using industry-standard encryption
  • Your device’s built-in security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID) protects all app data
  • Optional app-level passcode protection provides an additional security layer

Children’s Privacy

CrashProof does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Third-Party Services

CrashProof does not integrate with any third-party services that collect data. The app uses only Apple’s built-in iOS frameworks for functionality.

Your Rights and Choices

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:

  • Access Your Data: All your data is accessible within the app
  • Export Your Data: Use the export features to create PDF or ZIP files of your cases
  • Delete Your Data: Delete individual cases or uninstall the app to remove all data
  • Disable Photo Saving: Turn off “Save to Camera Roll” in Settings
  • Disable Passcode: Turn off passcode protection in Settings at any time

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be posted at this URL with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
